Josh McKible's profile

Brooklyn Public Library

I was commissioned by Brooklyn Public Library (BPL) to design and animate this short 30 sec. animation promoting their Adult Learning program. Since in response to the COVID19 pandemic, all classes had moved online, it was important to let New Yorkers know they could still have free access to these vital literacy tools.

"I had the pleasure of producing a short film to help promote an educational program at the Brooklyn Public Library. Josh created a beautiful and informative animated piece that helps reach adults that are working on their English skills.  The film ran on local broadcast and still helps recruit new students today via the BPL.  Josh is a passionate, creative, professional and I am looking forward to doing my next project with him!"Stephen Mallon, Producer
Because of time constraints it was decided early on that the animation would consist mostly of static scenes with just a few key bits of movement to guide the eye.
After presenting storyboards I was asked to change the age of the female character so as to accurately portray a more typical program client.
